“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
What is beauty? What does it mean if something is beautiful? Why do our eyes and our mind think that something is beautiful? What is it about flowers and color and light that make our hearts happy? Is it the closer look at the shapes and lines that make up objects? But then again, why are those shapes pleasing to our eyes? If I search my eyes and mind, will that bring the answer? But why does my mind enjoy these beautiful things? There must be some intricate and diverse answer. So how do I find the answer? Maybe it’s not so difficult. Maybe it just takes one revelation. When I look to God, I know the He created this world, and I know He created my eyes and my mind. He even created my heart and my feelings. I know that He created beauty as well. He thinks that things are beautiful. I believe that my heart is connected to God’s heart, so when I find that something is beautiful, it must be because He finds it beautiful. He created this world to be beautiful, and He gave us the concept of beauty. We are made in the image of God, and He has given us His ability to see this world as beautiful. This is how God created me.
